First show!

This was a brand new experience for me and for Sesame.

This was her first dog show.

She did quite good and we have learn a lot since.
Here we are ready to enter the ring.

She did very good when the judge had to examine her

She even got a ribbon! Best in show, Third Place of puppies.

Birthdays!

These is more of a combo of Sesame's and Peppers birthday pics.

This was Pepper's cake
This is a very uncomfortable Pepper

We lit the candle even though i had to blow it out

This is Sesame's birthday dinner

It was a lot of fun, but from time to time, there were some arguments on who got to play with the new toys first.

Last Halloween

Yes... i know everything is kind of outdated.

But here are the Halloween pics.

Here they are, the two Scotties watching all the treats.

Sessame has her menacing look, give me treats or else....

And finally, Pepper in costume, what I like to call Pepperfly!!

Pink scotties

Last October, we gathered a group of scotties plus some others and participated in the Cancer Awareness walk.

It was really cute all, the group of dogs with their pink bandanas.

The activity was very fun but I ended up with a bitten finger...lost part of my nail and took me 5 months to get my finger looking normal.

Guess i have to remember not all scotties are as sweet as Sesame and Pepper...

Scottie nose

I love to take pictures of Sesame and Pepper's nose.

Her are some. Hope you enjoy them.
I'm also adding some scottie close ups.

The House

It's been a long time since my last post.
I will start to log what has happened since.

We built a new house for Sesame and Pepper. The old one was getting small.
This new house has big windows for look out, a "second " floor and a terrace.

They love it!!

As you can see it also has a good shade too.

Christmas is getting closer!

Yes.. believe it or not my house is fully decorated for Christmas.

SO I took a chance and started taking pictures of my two scottie girls next to the tree.

I still need to make them their Xmas coats but now they have practiced in front of the tree.

Bath robes

It's been a while since I published so I wanted to post more than one today.

I love to give Pepper and Sesame a good bath, and I found a very lovely bath robe.

I bought one for each of them and now , after the bath I always put theirs robes on, to help their hair dry up faster.

Ad that to a sun bath and you get dry scotties in no time!

Sesame has not grown into the robe just yet, but she will one day.

Hurdles

When she started, she never stopped.

This is how it began, leading her with the leash.

Ever since Pepper started going to doggie school we had the option to teach her how to jump hurdles.

At first she was not that into it, but finally she got it and now she loves it!

We even built one a hurdle out of pvc pipe to practice her jumps and home. It was pretty easy to build and to store!.

And now she flies over the hurdle, watch out Sesame~!

We are planing to enroll her into some agility classes to encourage her. She loved the hurdle, the A-frame and who know what else.

She wont be the firts Scottie to do Agility , but probably the first in Costa Rica.

Swimming lesson for my Scotties

Last weekend we attended an special activity just for dogs. This was a pool day for dogs.
I took Sesame and Pepper and both had a chance to swim.

Scotties swimming is a very sensitive subject since the Scottish terrier has very short legs and a heavy body. If you leave them un-attended chances are they will get tired and sink.

For this activity someone was always watching them and lifting them so that they could swim easily. It was very fun to watch them wag their tails in the water!!

There were around 20 dogs and Pepper was a little bit uncomfortable when she saw another dog swimming by her pool!

It was a lot or fun, but please always remember to never let your Scottish terrier swim unsupervised.
Watch them on youtube too!
