Dog Show

This weekend we went to a Dog Show.

We went with Pepper, and she had a good time watching all the show dogs.

The thing is , she wanted to play and well, the show dogs were very concentrated doing their jobs.

We got to see her doggy school teacher, which made her very excited and her groomer too.

Arooo

I wanted to share a video of Pepper, one of the first times she did the Arooo!.
I could not stop laughing.

There was a plastic bag that was tormenting her, so her first option was Arooooo!

Now she does that every time she wants someone to pick Alf (favorite stuffed animal) from the floor, while she is on the bed.

Party time!

It was time to celebrate my Bday with my family.
Pepper enjoyed it quite a bit.

She was the theme of the party, with Scottie figurines as decorations and even the cake! It was an Scottish Terrier cake. It was inspired on Pepper and her doggy school with the Agility obstacles

Time for a Bath

Pepper is getting so dirty, she is getting a bath tomorrow!
I wanted to share some pics of a bath we gave her a couple of months ago.
It was a very beautiful Sunday morning. This was before she had her first stripping.

Scottish Terrier Drawing

I wanted to be creative and I started drawing Pepper on the computer.
This is the result!

Its not exactly Pepper but it does look like a Scottish Terrier

Next time, it 'll be closer looking to Pepper

Time to remmeber December!

Since Pepper arrived on December she was just in time for Christmas.

She was the center of attention!

I had a red dress with a Scottish pattern skirt and it fitted her perfectly.
She looked so cute, a tiny black fur ball with a cute red dress.

We also bought her a bed to have on the terrace. Cute "couch" like that matches our furniture.

My aunt came from CA and brought 2 bone shaped pillows for her.

Doggy Graduation day

On Saturday Pepper had her graduation from Doggy School.
She was the only Scottish Terrier of all 80 dogs.
She did great! As her trainer said: "Pepper is a show on her own!" probalby because Scottish Terriers are not that common in Costa Rica.

Pepper Fetch!

Pepper on A- frame - this was very funny, the frame was in the middle and Pepper just passed over it!

Now we are about to enroll Pepper into Agility Lessons! Scottish Terrier Agility

B- day party

On Monday I turn 25!

This weekend we celebrated my bday with some friends and Pepper was a very important part of the party

"Mind if I sit here?"

One of my friends fell in love with her and tried to still my scottie away!

"Are you sure mom is ok with this?"

"Don't mind me, I'm just mingling"

And the first one to fell asleep was Pepper. It was a long night and the next day she had her Doggy School Graduation

Scottish ears

When Pepper arrived her ears where still down.
These are some images that show the process that over a week lead to her fully straight Scottish ears.

Both ears down

One up!!

Almost done...

Tadah!!! Scottish ears!

Wet Pepper

As good Scottish Terrier, Pepper loves to dig...

Just take a look at her brown nose and you'll know she dug some holes on the backyard...
After a whole week of having a dirty nose, face, paws... the time has come to take the first bath.

Pepper usually loves water, the hose, the rain.. but not when she is not in charge.

As you can guess, Pepper hated her first bath..

We took all the precautions needed:
1. it was a sunny day
2. we bought her a neutral ph shampoo
3. special care for the ears
4. a towel to dry her up
5. brushed her after

She had not grown in to her ears! She looks like a Chiuahua.

"help... i want to get out!"

Doggy School

Pepper was enrolled in doggy school since she was 3 months old.
She is the only Scottish Terrier but she made friends very fast.We have accomplished a lot, including obedience and some agility excersices, which she loves.

Stay! Good Pepper!
She is hanging with her Chihuahua friends

The A- Frame is her favorite

"sure... going up is easy!"

"How much longer should I stay here....""this is not my favorite part..going down is scary!"

"this is sooo easy!!"

The day Pepper came home

On December 7th Pepper came home.

She was the only female of the litter and the cutest! Look at the face!
We set up a be for her with a doggy blanket and a hedgehog toy. She understood right away it was for her.
We gave her a red collar to contrast with her beautiful black fur.

Pepper's arrival

Pepper is my 6 moths old black Scottish Terrier.
I decided to star a blog to share her adventures with other dog and Scottie lovers!
I hope you enjoy it!
"I really don't like this bow.."
